Dominant groups
Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Ward E in 2021 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:
- English (15,391 people or 35.3%)
- Australian (15,207 people or 34.9%)
- Irish (4,925 people or 11.3%)
- Scottish (3,984 people or 9.1%)
- Italian (2,433 people or 5.6%)
In combination these five ancestries account for 41,940 responses in total, or 96.25% of all responses.
The major differences between the ancestries of the population in Ward E and Alfords Point were:
- A larger percentage of people with English ancestry (35.3% compared to 24.4%)
- A larger percentage of people with Australian ancestry (34.9% compared to 29.0%)
