Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Windsor in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (405 females or 18.0%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (357 females or 15.9%)
  • Education and Training (217 females or 9.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 979 females in total or 43.5% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Armadale (East) employed 21.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 16.4% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 10.0% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Windsor and Armadale (East) were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in accommodation and food services (7.3% compared to 5.0%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in administrative and support services (4.3% compared to 3.1%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (18.0% compared to 21.1%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in wholesale trade (1.8% compared to 3.3%)
