Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Windsor in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (405 females or 18.0%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (357 females or 15.9%)
- Education and Training (217 females or 9.7%)
In combination, these three industries employed 979 females in total or 43.5% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, Armadale (East) employed 21.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 16.4% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 10.0% in Education and Training.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Windsor and Armadale (East) were:
- A larger percentage of females employed in accommodation and food services (7.3% compared to 5.0%)
- A larger percentage of females employed in administrative and support services (4.3% compared to 3.1%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (18.0% compared to 21.1%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed in wholesale trade (1.8% compared to 3.3%)
Emerging groups
The number of employed females in Windsor increased by 222 between 2016 and 2021.
The largest change in the jobs held by the female resident population between 2016 and 2021 in Windsor was for those employed in:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (+84 females)
