Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Prahran (East) in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (330 males or 18.3%)
  • Construction (187 males or 10.4%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (161 males or 8.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 678 males in total or 37.5% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Malvern employed 18.7% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 8.0% in Construction; and 11.3% in Financial and Insurance Services.
