Dominant groups
Analysis of the highest level of schooling attained by the female population in Planning area 1 in 2021 compared to Regional NSW shows that there was a higher proportion of females who had left school at an early level (Year 10 or less) and a lower proportion of females who completed Year 12 or equivalent.
Overall, 42.9% of the female population left school at Year 10 or below, and 42.8% went on to complete Year 12 or equivalent, compared with 40.1% and 45.4% respectively for Regional NSW.
The major differences between the level of schooling attained by the female population in Planning area 1 and Regional NSW were:
- A larger percentage of females who completed year 10 or equivalent (29.1% compared to 27.7%)
- A larger percentage of females who completed year 9 or equivalent (8.9% compared to 7.9%)
- A smaller percentage of females who completed year 12 or equivalent (42.8% compared to 45.4%)
Emerging groups
The largest changes in the level of schooling attained by the female population in Planning area 1, between 2011 and 2021 were:
- Year 12 or equivalent (+2,776 females)
- Year 11 or equivalent (+198 females)
- Year 9 or equivalent (-158 females)
- Year 8 or below (-154 females)
