Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in City of Greater Shepparton in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (2,324 males or 15.0%)
  • Manufacturing (2,120 males or 13.7%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (1,729 males or 11.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 6,173 males in total or 39.8% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Regional VIC employed 17.2% in Construction; 10.5% in Manufacturing; and 9.7% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of the City of Greater Shepparton and Regional VIC were:
