Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Salisbury East in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (436 females or 24.9%)
  • Retail Trade (240 females or 13.7%)
  • Education and Training (192 females or 11.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 868 females in total or 49.5% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Salisbury employed 26.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.8% in Retail Trade; and 10.2% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Salisbury East and the City of Salisbury were:
