An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in City of Salisbury in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

- Manufacturing (6,295 people or 9.9%)

In comparison, Greater Adelaide employed 17.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.7% in Retail Trade; and 6.8% in Manufacturing.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of the City of Salisbury and Greater Adelaide were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in manufacturing (9.9% compared to 6.8%)
