Dominant groups
Analysis of the non-English speaking population in Rockhampton Regional Council in 2021 compared to the total population in Rockhampton Regional Council shows that there was a lower proportion of people in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a lower proportion of people in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 18.9% of the non-English speaking population was aged between 0 and 14, and 5.6% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 20.3% and 16.6% respectively for the total population in Rockhampton Regional Council.
The major differences between the age groups of the non-English speaking population in Rockhampton and the total population in Rockhampton Regional Council were:

The largest changes in the age groups of the non-English speaking population in this area between 2011 and 2021 were in the age groups:
- 35 to 39 (+272 persons)
- 45 to 49 (+226 persons)
- 40 to 44 (+211 persons)
- 50 to 54 (+151 persons)
