Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Rural South East in 2021 compared to Rockhampton City and Depot Hill shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 27.0% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 8.9% were one-parent families, compared with 11.4% and 16.6% respectively for Rockhampton City and Depot Hill.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children.
