Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Birkdale in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (853 females or 24.5%)
  • Education and Training (488 females or 14.0%)
  • Retail Trade (391 females or 11.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,732 females in total or 49.7% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Victoria Point employed 25.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.8% in Education and Training; and 11.5% in Retail Trade.

There were no major differences between Birkdale and Victoria Point in 2021.
