Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Redland City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (9,335 females or 24.6%)
  • Education and Training (5,052 females or 13.3%)
  • Retail Trade (4,360 females or 11.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 18,747 females in total or 49.4% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, North Stradbroke Island employed 15.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.2% in Education and Training; and 8.6% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Redland City and North Stradbroke Island were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (24.6% compared to 15.1%)
