Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Thornlands in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (1,281 females or 24.9%)
- Education and Training (669 females or 13.0%)
- Retail Trade (611 females or 11.9%)
In combination, these three industries employed 2,561 females in total or 49.8% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, Coochiemudlo Island employed 28.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 16.8% in Education and Training; and 4.9% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Thornlands and Coochiemudlo Island were:
