Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander resident population in Redland City Council in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Total employed persons aged 15+ (1,749 people or 100.0%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (262 people or 15.0%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (253 people or 14.5%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,264 people in total or 129.4% of the employed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander resident population.
The major differences between the occupations held by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population of Redland City and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander of Greater Brisbane were:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (15.0% compared to 13.2%)
- A larger percentage of people employed as Managers (9.0% compared to 7.9%)
