Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Wider Darwin in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (9,236 males or 24.2%)
  • Professionals (6,155 males or 16.1%)
  • Managers (5,328 males or 13.9%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 20,719 males in total or 54.2% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, the RDA Northern Territory employed 23.0% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 16.3% in Professionals; and 14.0% in Managers.
