Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Wider Darwin in 2016 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Public Administration and Safety (13,309 people or 18.5%)
  • Construction (8,569 people or 11.9%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (6,780 people or 9.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 28,658 people in total or 39.9% of the total employed resident population.
