Dominant groups

Analysis of the family blending in Katherine Town Council LGA in 2021 compared to the RDA Northern Territory shows that there was a higher proportion of step families as well as a higher proportion of blended families. Overall, 15.3% of total couple families with children were step families, and 6.4% were blended families, compared with 12.8% and 4.8% respectively for the RDA Northern Territory.
