Equivalised income quartiles allow us to compare relative income-earning capabilities across time. Because the data is equivalised, households of different size and composition are placed on an equal footing.
Analysis of the distribution of households by income quartile in East Arnhem LGA - Nhulunbuy - Alyangula compared to Central Desert Regional Council LGA shows that there was a greater proportion of households in the highest equivalised income quartile, and a lesser proportion in the lowest equivalised income quartile.
