The Number of Bedrooms in a dwelling is an indicator of the size of dwellings, and when combined with Dwelling Type information, provides insight into the role Barkly Regional Council LGA plays in the housing market. Dominant groups
Analysis of the number of bedrooms in dwellings in Barkly Regional Council LGA in 2021 compared to Unincorporated NT (ex. Nhulunbuy and Alyangula) shows that there was a lower proportion of dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and a higher proportion of dwellings with 4 or more bedrooms.
Overall, 39.9% of households were in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and 12.1% of 4 or more bedroom dwellings, compared with 59.6% and 9.5% for Unincorporated NT (ex. Nhulunbuy and Alyangula) respectively.
