Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Public Administration and Safety (4,253 males or 23.7%)
  • Construction (3,506 males or 19.5%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (1,448 males or 8.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 9,207 males in total or 51.2% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Braidwood employed 12.0% in Public Administration and Safety; 17.9% in Construction; and 5.6% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
