Dominant groups

The size of Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council area's labour force in 2021 was 35,888, of which 9,123 were employed part-time and 23,555 were full time workers.

Analysis of the employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council area in 2021 compared to Regional NSW shows that there was a higher proportion in employment, and a lower proportion unemployed. Overall, 96.9% of the labour force was employed, and 3.1% unemployed, compared with 95.4% and 4.6% respectively for Regional NSW.
