Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Lightsview in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (488 females or 27.3%)
  • Education and Training (209 females or 11.7%)
  • Retail Trade (164 females or 9.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 861 females in total or 48.2% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Port Adelaide Enfield employed 27.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.1% in Education and Training; and 10.1% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Lightsview and the City of Port Adelaide Enfield were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (7.4% compared to 5.7%)
