Analysis of the car ownership of non-English speakers in the City of Perth in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of Perth shows that 78.9% were in households that owned at least one car, while 20.0% did not, compared with 75.9% and 15.7% respectively in the total population in the City of Perth.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion owned just one car; a smaller proportion owned two cars; and a smaller proportion that owned three cars or more.
Overall, 60.2% of non-English speakers were in households that owned one car; 15.7% owned two cars; and 3.0% owned three cars or more, compared with 51.9%, 19.8% and 4.3% respectively for the total population in the City of Perth.
