Dominant groups
Analysis of individual income levels in West Perth in 2021 compared to Australia shows that there was a higher proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).
Overall, 25.7% of the population earned a high income, and 21.1% earned a low income, compared with 12.5% and 32.0% respectively for Australia.
The major differences between West Perth's individual incomes and Australia's individual incomes were:
