Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Penrith City in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (12,788 females or 26.2%)
  • Professionals (10,525 females or 21.5%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (8,071 females or 16.5%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 31,384 females in total or 64.2% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, St Clair employed 29.4% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; 18.5% in Professionals; and 15.6% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Penrith City and St Clair were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (21.5% compared to 18.5%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed as Managers (9.7% compared to 8.1%)
