Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Penrith in 2021 compared to Jamisontown shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 15.7% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.5% were one-parent families, compared with 24.1% and 13.8% respectively for Jamisontown.
