Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Parramatta in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (20,774 people or 36.0%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (12,002 people or 20.8%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (7,044 people or 12.2%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 39,820 people in total or 69.0% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, City of Parramatta - Total population employed 35.0% in Professionals; 14.2% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 8.2% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by females in the City of Parramatta and City of Parramatta - Total population were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (20.8% compared to 14.2%)
- A larger percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (12.2% compared to 8.2%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (3.8% compared to 9.0%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (1.5% compared to 4.8%)
