Analysis of the car ownership of people born overseas in the City of Parramatta in 2021 compared to Greater Western Sydney Region shows that 88.3% of people born overseas were in households that owned at least one car, while 10.5% did not, compared with 92.1% and 6.5% respectively in Greater Western Sydney Region.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion that owned just one car; a smaller proportion owned two cars; and a smaller proportion that owned three cars or more.
Overall, 44.7% of people born overseas were in households that owned one car; 31.5% owned two cars; and 12.1% owned three cars or more, compared with 33.3%; 36.3% and 22.5% respectively for Greater Western Sydney Region.
