Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Northmead in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (995 females or 35.9%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (628 females or 22.7%)
  • Managers (344 females or 12.4%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,967 females in total or 71.0% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Parramatta employed 36.0% in Professionals; 20.8% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 11.2% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Northmead and the City of Parramatta were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (22.7% compared to 20.8%)
