There were more male professionals in Northmead in 2016 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Northmead in 2016 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (790 males or 27.6%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (499 males or 17.5%)
- Managers (453 males or 15.8%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,742 males in total or 60.9% of the employed male resident population.
In comparison, Wentworth Point employed 30.3% in Professionals; 12.4% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 22.9% in Managers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Northmead and Wentworth Point were:
