Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Dundas in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (142 males or 12.1%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (119 males or 10.2%)
  • Retail Trade (106 males or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 367 males in total or 31.4% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Parramatta Ward employed 8.9% in Construction; 5.9% in Public Administration and Safety; and 8.5% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Dundas and Parramatta Ward were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in public administration and safety (10.2% compared to 5.9%)
