Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Dundas in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Construction (142 males or 12.1%)
- Public Administration and Safety (119 males or 10.2%)
- Retail Trade (106 males or 9.1%)
In combination, these three industries employed 367 males in total or 31.4% of the total employed male resident population.
In comparison, Parramatta Ward employed 8.9% in Construction; 5.9% in Public Administration and Safety; and 8.5% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Dundas and Parramatta Ward were:
- A larger percentage of males employed in public administration and safety (10.2% compared to 5.9%)
- A larger percentage of males employed in construction (12.1% compared to 8.9%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed in professional, scientific and technical services (8.9% compared to 15.0%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed in financial and insurance services (5.6% compared to 7.7%)
