Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Parramatta CBD in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (2,213 people or 26.6%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (971 people or 11.7%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (965 people or 11.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 4,149 people in total or 49.8% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Wentworthville - Pendle Hill employed 11.4% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 7.5% in Financial and Insurance Services; and 17.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Parramatta CBD and Wentworthville - Pendle Hill were:
