Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of Parramatta in 2021 compared to Rosehill Ward shows that there was a similar proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a similar proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 15.6% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 6.1% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 15.4% and 6.4% respectively for Rosehill Ward.

The major differences between the male age structure of Parramatta and Rosehill Ward were:

  • A larger percentage of males aged 35 to 39 (14.8% compared to 13.2%)
  • A larger percentage of males aged 40 to 44 (8.7% compared to 8.0%)
  • A smaller percentage of males aged 45 to 49 (4.2% compared to 5.1%)
