Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of people in the City of Parramatta compared to Rosehill - Camellia shows that there was a higher proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 3.6% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 2.9% for Rosehill - Camellia.
The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in Epping Ward and Rosehill - Camellia were:
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 80 to 84 (28.3% compared to 54.5%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 75 to 79 (15.4% compared to 32.3%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 85 and over (44.9% compared to 56.5%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 70 to 74 (9.1% compared to 19.0%)
Emerging groups
The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance between 2011 and 2021 in Epping Ward were in the age groups:
