Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Bilgola in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (167 females or 17.7%)
  • Education and Training (133 females or 14.1%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (128 females or 13.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 428 females in total or 45.3% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Manly Ward employed 16.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.5% in Education and Training; and 18.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Bilgola and Manly Ward were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in retail trade (11.2% compared to 7.6%)
