Dominant groups

Overall, 4.6% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 2.5% for Manly (Eastern Hill).
The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in Narrabeen Ward and Manly (Eastern Hill) were:
- A larger percentage of persons aged 85 and over (45.0% compared to 32.5%)
- A larger percentage of persons aged 80 to 84 (23.4% compared to 16.5%)
