Dominant groups
Analysis of the household/family types in the Shire of Northam in 2021 compared to Regional WA shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 22.2% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 11.6% were one-parent families, compared with 23.8% and 8.7% respectively for Regional WA.
