Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Growth LGAs in Victoria in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (85,399 males or 23.1%)
  • Machinery Operators And Drivers (59,120 males or 16.0%)
  • Professionals (54,749 males or 14.8%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 199,268 males in total or 54.0% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) employed 23.7% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 15.4% in Machinery Operators And Drivers; and 14.9% in Professionals.
