Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Moreton Bay Region in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (27,400 males or 24.7%)
  • Professionals (15,605 males or 14.1%)
  • Managers (14,854 males or 13.4%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 57,859 males in total or 52.2% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, the Shire of Cardinia employed 28.0% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 12.5% in Professionals; and 14.3% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Moreton Bay Region and the Shire of Cardinia were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (6.8% compared to 4.9%)
