Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Redland City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Construction (8,004 males or 20.6%)
- Manufacturing (3,827 males or 9.9%)
- Retail Trade (3,245 males or 8.4%)
In combination, these three industries employed 15,076 males in total or 38.8% of the total employed male resident population.
In comparison, the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale employed 18.6% in Construction; 10.3% in Manufacturing; and 6.1% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Redland City and the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale were:
- A larger percentage of males employed in professional, scientific and technical services (6.4% compared to 4.0%)
