Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in the Shire of Mitchell in 2021 compared to The Hills Shire shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 33.6% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 11.9% were one-parent families, compared with 52.1% and 8.5% respectively for The Hills Shire .
