Dominant groups

Analysis of the female five year age groups of Growth LGAs in WA in 2021 compared to National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) shows that there was a lower proportion of females in the younger age groups (under 15) and a higher proportion of females in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 20.8% of the female population was aged between 0 and 15, and 14.3% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 21.3% and 13.6% respectively for National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA).
