Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of males in the National Growth Areas Alliance compared to Blacktown City shows that there was a similar proportion of males who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 5.2% of the male population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 5.0% for Blacktown City .

The major difference in the male age groups reporting a need for assistance in Growth LGAs in Victoria and Blacktown City is:

  • A smaller percentage of males aged 85 and over (49.1% compared to 52.6%)
