Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Country Townships in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (647 females or 25.2%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (477 females or 18.6%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (446 females or 17.4%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,570 females in total or 61.2% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Nairne and District employed 24.9% in Professionals; 19.7% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 18.3% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Country Townships and Nairne and District were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Managers (13.2% compared to 9.6%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Sales Workers (9.2% compared to 11.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (18.6% compared to 19.7%)

Emerging groups

The number of employed females in Country Townships increased by 207 between 2016 and 2021.

The largest changes in the occupations of female residents between 2016 and 2021 in Country Townships were for those employed as:

  • Managers (+84 females)
