Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Greater Mount Barker in 2021 compared to Greater Adelaide shows that 92.5% of the households owned at least one car, while 4.0% did not, compared with 88.9% and 7.5% respectively in Greater Adelaide.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 31.5% of the households owned one car; 40.1% owned two cars; and 20.9% owned three cars or more, compared with 35.9%; 35.5% and 17.6% respectively for Greater Adelaide.
