Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Rosebud in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (757 males or 26.2%)
  • Retail Trade (286 males or 9.9%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (209 males or 7.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,252 males in total or 43.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Nepean Ward employed 26.3% in Construction; 6.3% in Retail Trade; and 7.7% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Rosebud and Nepean Ward were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in retail trade (9.9% compared to 6.3%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in public administration and safety (4.5% compared to 2.6%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in professional, scientific and technical services (4.6% compared to 9.1%)
