Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Rosebud in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Construction (757 males or 26.2%)
- Retail Trade (286 males or 9.9%)
- Accommodation and Food Services (209 males or 7.2%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,252 males in total or 43.3% of the total employed male resident population.
In comparison, Nepean Ward employed 26.3% in Construction; 6.3% in Retail Trade; and 7.7% in Accommodation and Food Services.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Rosebud and Nepean Ward were:
- A larger percentage of males employed in retail trade (9.9% compared to 6.3%)
- A larger percentage of males employed in public administration and safety (4.5% compared to 2.6%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed in professional, scientific and technical services (4.6% compared to 9.1%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed in financial and insurance services (0.8% compared to 3.3%)

The largest changes in the jobs held by the male resident population between 2006 and 2021 in Rosebud were for those employed in:
- Construction (+287 males)
- Education and Training (+81 males)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (+79 males)
- Administrative and Support Services (+75 males)
