The size of Mount Eliza's male labour force in 2021 was 4,769, of which 1,074 were employed part-time and 3,310 were full time workers.
Analysis of the male employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Mount Eliza in 2021 compared to Balnarring - Balnarring Beach - Merricks - Merricks Beach - Somers shows that there was a lower proportion in employment, and a higher proportion unemployed. Overall, 96.7% of the male labour force was employed, and 3.3% unemployed, compared with 97.4% and 2.6% respectively for Balnarring - Balnarring Beach - Merricks - Merricks Beach - Somers.
Analysis of the labour force participation rate of the male population in Mount Eliza in 2021 shows that there was a higher proportion in the labour force (66.7%) compared with Balnarring - Balnarring Beach - Merricks - Merricks Beach - Somers (58.9%).
Between 2016 and 2021, the number of males employed in Mount Eliza showed an increase of 299, and the number unemployed showed a decrease of 33. In the same period, the number of males in the labour force showed an increase of 266 or 5.9%.
