Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Darley in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (753 people or 16.0%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (514 people or 10.9%)
  • Education and Training (497 people or 10.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,764 people in total or 37.4% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Bacchus Marsh and Surrounds employed 14.6% in Construction; 11.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 10.2% in Education and Training.
