Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in West Moorabool Region in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (286 people or 14.7%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (263 people or 13.5%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (234 people or 12.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 783 people in total or 40.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Ballan employed 16.1% in Construction; 1.2% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 12.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
