Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in City of Moonee Valley in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (4,748 males or 14.6%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (3,730 males or 11.5%)
  • Retail Trade (2,442 males or 7.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 10,920 males in total or 33.7% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Moonee Ponds (N) employed 12.5% in Construction; 14.8% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 7.4% in Retail Trade.
