Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the Turkish speaking resident population in City of Merri-bek in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (309 people or 23.6%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (199 people or 15.2%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (171 people or 13.0%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 679 people in total or 51.8% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 19.9% in Professionals; 15.2% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 11.5% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
